RAW FROZEN SHRIMP Types of Processed based on the Production Process HO (Head On) This type of shrimp processing usually uses large size shrimp. Shrimp are left intact or known as Head On complete with skin and tail, the freezing process uses CPF, the result is ice block or shrimp in ice cubes. However, now many HO shrimp are also frozen unit (IQF) and can be easily found in supermarkets. HL (Headless) HL shrimp is further divided into two types, there are HL (headless shell on), which is the type of shrimp whose head is cut off but the shell is still there. Meanwhile, HLSO (headless shell off) is a shrimp whose head and skin are not included or removed.
