Olive Biocarbon Briquettes

Our olive charcoal mix briquettes, a very natural and surplus product in Spain. We are the only company in the world that produces this type of charcoal with high caloric content. Our charcoal is made from olive pulp and pits. It is a surplus product in Spain, so we do not deforest. CarbOliva is a continuous pyrolysis plant that converts olive biomass into high quality biochar (#biochar) and generates steam for Acesur's pomace oil extraction process in Puente del Obispo (Jaén). We produce 5,000 tons of biochar per year. It can be used for barbecues and to replace coal in steel mills, thus reducing their carbon footprint. This optimized biochar production replaces part of the 700,000 tons per year of charcoal that the European Union imports from third countries, with the risk of deforestation and gas emissions that aggravate the climate crisis. Briquettes are made from a mixture of both coals and have a fixed carbon content of 65/70%.
