RED AND WHITE BAG IN BOX BODEGAS MEDINA, a family business since its inception, began its journey in 1931. Its founder, great-grandfather Josac Montao always demonstrated a special ability to make wines in an artisanal way. The activities took place in a small industry located in the town of Puebla de Sancho Parez. An unfortunate accident changes the course of destiny and a new generation becomes part of the winery: grandfather Antonio Medina and grandmother Esperanza. The business is progressing favorably for the family, being towards 1975 when it is decided to expand the business by investing in an important plantation of vineyards of the Cabernet-Sauvignon variety and acquiring a aging cellar: BODEGA EL CONVENTO located in the beautiful city of Zafra. The tenacity and the industriousness of its members, allow BODEGAS MEDINA to become one of the few Extremadura wineries that since then elaborate, age and bottle quality wines. With the passage of time, the legacy passes from the parents to the children until they reach the present time in which a fourth generation controls the winery, giving it a definitive boost and improving its results in an extraordinary way. Fruit of this boom is the construction of an impressive winery: BODEGA LAS MONEDAS where the good know-how of the family is combined with the most modern technologies of the wine sector to give rise to wines of recognized prestige.
