Butyl Acetate

Besides selecting a reactive rote to favor the achievement of a given food product, during the processing of certain food constituents, the occurrence of reactions and phase separation may exist simultaneously. One example is found in the obtaining of butyl acetate. This substance is an ester widely used as a flavoring ingredient due to it fruity odor. Butyl acetate is found in many types of fruits and can also be obtained through the esterification reaction of acetic acid with butanol.
