Nigeria is one of the worlds known raw cashew nuts-producing countries from West Africa. The raw nuts, gotten from the cashew tree, are processed, and used in dishes such as soups and stews in some parts of India due to its high health benefits. Raw cashew nuts are also used in the manufacturing of drugs, antioxidants, ant-diabetic and cosmetics. Export earnings estimates to about 25-35 million dollars annually in this country. Nigeria was the 7th world exporter with 190,000 tons of production in 2016. It holds the position of the 4th largest producer in Africa.
